Environmental Testing
Controlled temperature, humidity, and altitude testing evaluates whether automotive components can maintain performance, durability, and reliability across storage, transportation, and operating conditions.
Validate automotive components before the road exposes their weaknesses. B83 Testing & Engineering provides ISO-accredited environmental, vibration, shock, fatigue, and field-replication testing that helps engineering teams reduce risk, confirm durability, lower warranty exposure, and make confident design or production decisions with accurate laboratory data.

Comprehensive automotive testing programs built around environmental exposure, vibration, shock, durability, and real-world field simulation.
Controlled temperature, humidity, and altitude testing evaluates whether automotive components can maintain performance, durability, and reliability across storage, transportation, and operating conditions.
Random, sine, and sine-on-random vibration testing helps identify resonance, fatigue risks, loosened connections, and structural weaknesses caused by real-world road and equipment vibration.
Thermal shock testing rapidly transitions products between temperature extremes to reveal cracking, warping, material mismatch, sealing issues, and performance failures before field deployment.
Mechanical shock testing evaluates how components survive sudden impacts, drops, handling events, and high-force conditions that may occur during transportation, assembly, or operation.
DV and PV testing supports design validation and production validation by confirming performance, durability, and readiness before full-scale manufacturing or product launch.
Field data replication recreates measured operating loads in the lab, helping automotive teams validate durability using realistic service conditions and repeatable test control.

We review your component, intended application, sample quantity, standards, field data, and failure concerns to define the right environmental, vibration, shock, or durability test scope before setup begins.

Founded in 2002 by engineers, B83 Testing & Engineering is an independent, engineer-owned testing laboratory based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The company was built to help manufacturers make informed quality decisions and solve problems tied to product design and manufacturing processes. Over more than two decades, B83 has grown its capabilities across environmental chambers, vibration systems, mechanical shock, cyclic fatigue, load/displacement testing, and field data replication. With an eight-person engineering and technician team, the lab remains focused on flexible scheduling, careful execution, and practical support for clients across automotive, railroad, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, medical devices, electrical controls, consumer products, aerospace, and more.
Automotive environmental testing exposes components, assemblies, and materials to controlled temperature, humidity, altitude, vibration, shock, and thermal transition conditions. The goal is to verify that products maintain performance and structural integrity before production or field release. B83 Testing & Engineering supports this work with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory capabilities and engineering-led test planning.
